Architecture Asia (AA) - ARCASIA Magazine

We are pleased to announce that Architecture Asia (AA), ARCASIA’s magazine, published by Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) for ARCASIA in both printed and e-formats, has been restructured and revamped with the objective of elevating it to a publication that captures and reflects the design excellence of the Architects within our region.

Asia is today well regarded as home to some of the world’s most innovative and inspiring architecture. Architecture Asia aims to foster greater awareness and appreciation toward architecture and encourage more dialogue and discussion among the emerging architects in our region. AA has also embarked on a new project, the Architecture Asia Awards for Emerging Architects.

The Awards aim to promote the works of emerging architects in Asia, to provide a platform for discourse on emerging architecture in Asia, and to establish a contemporary reference for Asian architecture. Entries will be judged on their creativity, sustainability, and contribution to the advancement of architectural design and architectural technology in Asia.

A new editor has been appointed, and we believe they will be able to bring fresh ideas to the magazine. The Editor will also be communicating with the Member Institutes designated persons for submission of projects for the upcoming issue themed ‘SoHo? SoFo? SoVo? New lifestyle offices on Asia’ a theme as outlined as follow that is crucial to architects:-

Architecture Asia takes a look into the emerging trend of new lifestyle offices across Asia. From chic 2-man studio offices to converted warehouses, Asia has seen a collective shift in perspective of what constitutes a working environment. The internet and mobile computing have also made working anywhere a reality. As workers and workplaces become more mobile, how are today’s offices coping with such challenges? Indeed, one might even ask, is there a future for offices at all?

Please submit all projects that qualify under the theme based on the submission guidelines, strictly by the deadline of 25 July, 2014 for the editorial committee to consider for the issue. The submission could be made via the respective Member Institutes or directly to the Editor at This email address is being protected from spambots.
